Batman Arkham Origins

           Overview

Batman: arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel Storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: arkham Asylum and Batman: arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassinas, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight.

               Release
Batman: Arkham Origins was released worldwide on October 25, 2013 for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U platforms.[91] A week before its scheduled release in Europe, the retail Microsoft Windows and Wii U versions were delayed until November 8, 2013.[104] In addition, the companion game, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate was released alongside Arkham Origins for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.[91] A spin-off beat 'em up game also titled Batman: Arkham Origins was developed by NetherRealm Studios for iOS and Android handheld platforms. The iOS version was released on October 16, 2013, and the Android version is scheduled for release in late 2013. NetherRealm Studios had previously developed Batman: Arkham City Lockdown, a spin-off to Arkham City.[105][106] The brawler sees players using touchscreen controls to fight enemies one-on-one, including villains such as Bane and Deathstroke. Defeating enemies earns points that can be used to upgrade Batman's stats or unlock gadgets and costumes. Additionally, costumes unlocked in the game can unlock costumes in the console version and vice versa.[107][108][109]
Coinciding with Arkham Origins' United Kingdom launch, fans got the chance to meet voice actors Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker at Stratford's GAME retailer.[110] A digital comic book of the same name will be released alongside the game. The comic will be the first of DC Comics' DC2 Multiverse initiative, featuring dynamic artwork and sound, and the ability to make choices while reading that modify how the story progresses, with multiple outcomes possible.[111] A series of action figures based on characters from the game, and a functional life-size grapnel gun replica were released in October 2013 by DC Collectibles and NECA, respectively

Company Of Heroes 2

The real-time strategy genre is very under-represented these days, with three of its biggest players being Blizzard with the Warcraft and starCraft series. Creative Assembly with the Total War series and Relic Entertainment with let's just say that relic has been making strategy games for a really long time. All of them have their own specific take on it too with Blizz opting for the traditional base-building and army-building gameplay and Creative Assembly going for massive scale.

Samsung Galaxy Round gets its own TV ad

Samsung has released the first commercial of the curved Galaxy Round smartphone. The ad is in Korean, because it is the first (and at this stage the only) country to get the cool gadget. It’s unclear if the curved smartphone will be going global in the future, but chances are looking slim at this point.
Meanwhile, LG has also announced its first curved smartphone – the 6.0-inch LG G Flex. It will be launching in Korea in November as well.

Stolen truck containing $14 million worth of LG G2′s recovered

a truck containing a shipment of LG G2 smartphones valued at some $14 million was stolen from a truck stop in Gary, Indiana.
Today, Kentucky State Police has recovered the truck full of lost goods intact, and has apprehended a suspect after he allegedly crashed a tractor trailer carrying the stolen cargo into a utility pole. The truck containing some 22,500 LG G2 units (at the current $630 off contract price that equals over $14 million) destined for Sprint retailers in Louisville, Kentucky was stolen on Saturday while the driver was taking a bathroom break.

NVIDIA Shield gets a major update

NVIDIA’s Android-based handheld gaming console Shield has received a massive update that brings with it several important new features. The first one is the update to Android 4.3 from the 4.2 on the previous build. Android 4.3, as you may know, brings things such as Bluetooth Smart support, improved text input and OpenGL ES 3.0, among other things (although Tegra 4 in the Shield doesn’t actually support OpenGL ES 3.0).
NVIDIA has also updated the game streaming support on the Shield. Now called GameStream, it lets you stream from 109 titles (at the time of writing) from your PC running an NVIDIA Kepler-based GPU to your Shield. You can also connect your Shield to a TV and play the Shield games on the big screen in Full HD. There is also a new gamepad mapper feature that lets you existing Android games without controller support to be mapped to the physical controller on the Shield. You map the keys on the screen to the buttons and then play the game using the buttons. NVIDIA is also selling some bundles, where you can get a GeForce graphics card for your PC, a bunch of games and $100 off on the price of the Steam. So if you’re hunting for a graphics card for your PC this holiday season, you might want to consider that offer.

Samsung Galaxy Gear gets full notification support with a cool app

Samsung Galaxy Gear is surely a cool gadget, but it comes with lots of annoying limitations. Samsung is promising it will explore further the Galaxy Gear capabilities and will deliver more features later on. Meanwhile an XDA Developers member has made a very useful app that will show full notifications on your Galaxy Gear for all apps, not just messages and emails as it is by default. It was indeed frustrating that such a capable and expensive gadget as the Gear is capable of displaying complete notifications only for the SMS messages and emails, while you get only header-like notifications for all other apps. Luckily the XDA user Sepiroth887 has created the AllTheNotifications (ATN) Manager that allows you to choose which apps to display full notifications on your Gear. It is very easy to setup and you need just to choose the desired apps from a list. If you’ve used Pebble, you’ll know Pebble had a similar problem (being not compatible with lots of apps such as Viber, Skype, Facebook, etc.) that was later fixed with the Pebble Notifier app. So, if you own a Gear and a compatible Galaxy device (Android 4.3, latest TouchWiz), head over the source link below, get the app and thank Sepiroth887. Be sure to follow the instructions on how to install it. The app is still in its infancy and has some issues, such as it will display notifications even when you are using your Galaxy, but they will be probably resolved soon.
