Updated: Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet dressed in cyan and red leaks out in press images

The upcoming Nokia Lumia 2520 Windows RT tablet made yet another unscheduled appearance, thanks to @evleaks. After allowing us to potentially catch a glimpse of its kickstand three days ago, the slate leaked out in a press image, dressed in a cyan outfit.
The tablet in the leaked images sports a design which is in line with the looks of Nokia Lumia range of smartphones. Its rumored specs include Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 10.1” 1080p display, and LTE support. Nokia Lumia 2520 is all but certain to be unveiled at the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi on October 22. The tablet is rumored to be available in four colors – black, white, red, and the cyan from the image above.

Nestle posts a tasty-looking Android 4.4 KitKat teaser

Google has released a new image teasing the upcoming launch of Android 4.4 KitKat. Accompanied by the text “Everybody dance now!, the image hints that we should expect Google to spill out all the beans of the latest Android release any day now.
As it’s been the case with every major Android update so far, Google will bring a new Nexus device to go with 4.4 KitKat. The search giant is all but guaranteed to launch the Nexus 5 at its event later this month. The date for said event hasn’t been confirmed yet (if there is one), but October 30 has been marked as a possible announcement date. Leaked screenshots of the Nexus 5 running the updated OS have surfaced, giving us an overall idea of what we should expect. There’ll be some UI changed, which include mildly redesigned stock apps with Quickoffice integration, new additions to the settings menu, as well as the cool-looking Android KitKat Easter egg. The status bar is transparent and with white icons. There’s also a camera shortcut placed in the lower right corner of the lockscreen – much like on iOS 7. The option to access the camera via a swipe gesture is also reportedly now going to be backed into the OS itself. Under the hood, Google has been working out new tweaks to SMS handling as well as new location settings.

iPad mini won’t be reading fingerprints

New images of the alleged next iPad mini and iPad 5 have leaked just days before the Apple October 22 event.
The images show the iPad mini 2 next to the iPhone 5s and with another iPad lurking in the background. Notice how the home button isn’t TouchID but a vanilla one? Previous leaks suggested the iPad mini 2 will have TouchID, but this seems to put those speculations to rest. It’s all but certain that the big upcoming iPad will have TouchID, have the same narrow-bezel design as the current mini and be more compact than the iPad 4. We’ve seen both upcoming tablets in pictures and a video – perhaps Apple should at least try and regain the secrecy it was once a synonym of. Perhaps the omission of the TouchID home button was necessary in order to keep the price under control. Would a Retina display also be omitted from the list for the same reasons? Not long now, just four days until Apple’s event.

The long wait has finally come to the end. Sony pulled the wraps off its imaging-centric smartphone, the Xperia Z1, yesterday. With the new device, Sony continues its trend of coming up with compact, water-and-dustproof smartphones. This time around, though, the company has also thrown in a range of new features for a better camera experience. The latest Sony flagship builds on the existing platform made by the Xperia Z and the Z Ultra. Now let’s take a closer look at the specifications it will come with:

OS- Android 4.3
As expected, the Xperia Z1 comes with the latest Android build in the market, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The smartphone comes with enough display real estate for users to easily switch between multiple home screens. In addition, the Xperia Z1 allows users to easily change the order of their app icons in the menu to offer quick access to the most-used apps or any custom order that they prefer. The Xperia Z1 comes with a slightly tweaked image and video gallery, with Sony packing in its Music and Video Unlimited streaming apps as well. Users who opt for these paid services can get 60 days of free music streaming as well as six free recent movie releases. Users who missed out on Elysium, for example, can watch the same on the Xperia Z1, as soon as it comes up as an official digital download. The long wait has finally come to the end.
